The client was looking for an open, stylish finish to the entire backyard, which he sometimes uses for work as a fashion photographer. A large deck area was built at the end of the pool to create a contrast against the natural silver travertine. The water feature and planter box were clad in a rock face stone in an earthy colour to complement the decking.
Pool Landscape Design of the Year - over $60,000

The brief for this landscape design was to create a terraced approach that would be visually pleasing, creating a series of spaces for entertainment and recreation. The alfresco and dining deck leads to the pool surrounded by travertine, the poolside hearth has a cover so it doubles up as a coffee table. In the opposite direction is a kitchen garden leading to a set of exposed aggregate steps to a landing suitable for secondary seating.
